Something doesn't make sense ...

Can anyone explain to me how borrowing more money can get one out of debt ?
This nonsense about raising the government's debt ceiling seems absurd.

First, I've got to ask why are we so deep in debt in the first place ?
Could some of it be due to
(1) Bailing out banks and other corporations with taxpayer money ?
(2) Giving billions and billions of dollars to other countries (and our enemies) in 
     "Foreign Aide" ?
(3) Sending billions of dollars to illegal aliens filing multiple false tax returns ?
(4) Funding wars that we don't belong in ?
(5) Giving billions of dollars in grants to almost any organization that asks for them ?
(6) Subsidizing private industries, businesses, corporations and unions ?
                and the list goes on...

I know, the politicians will argue that any one of the above is merely a small percentage of
what the government pays out.   However, collectively they add up to almost half of the government's annual expenses.
If our Representatives would stop kissing the asses of special interest groups and stop trying to buy friendship with other countries, and look at the big picture and doing what's right for America, we could be out of debt very quickly.

If you don't balance your budget, you go into debt.   Should you then borrow (or increase your credit limit on your credit card) to get out of debt ?   I don't think that's the way it works...

A Possible Solution to save Social Security

I've been thinking about how to save the Social Security System from going broke.

Here are my 10 suggestions:

(1) "Grandfather" everyone that is already collecting Social Security. 

(2) Take away the "ceiling".   No matter how much you earn, there will be no "cap" as to the deduction for your Social Security.

(3) In order to help the very low income earners, there will be no deduction for Social Security on the first $15,000 earned in any given year for everyone.
(Liberals will like this one.)

(4) No one that hasn't paid into the System will be eligible to collect from the System.

(5) Disability Social Security should be in a separate System and not draining the money from those that have worked for it.  It should not be part of the General Fund.

(6) You must be a Citizen of the United states of America and living in the United States of America, as one of the criteria to collect any Social Security.
No Social Security checks will be sent out of the country.

(7) Anyone collecting Social Security and still working will have their monthly benefit reduced by $1 for every $2 they earn in any given month in addition to their contribution for that month.

(8) Eliminate the early retirement option.   You must be 67 years old before you can collect any money.

(9) A new payment formula must be set in place.   The formula that seems fair would be:
Total Amount Contributed divided by Number of Years of contributions, times 10.
(Example: $40,000 divided by 20 Years = $2000 X 10 = $20,000 per year or $1,666.67 per month in payments)
With a maximum payment of $2,500 per month.

(10) Anyone caught cheating the system must either go to prison for 10 years and/ or pay a $100,000 fine.
This seems excessive but is to discourage fraudulent claims. 

If all of the above were to be implemented, the Social Security System should never go broke.

I know, some of you will scream that this is too limiting...........then you come up with something better.

 

A Presidents legacy...........

Every President has left a "Legacy" for their term in office.

This President (Obama) will leave one that will be difficult to beat...

First of all, almost everything he's touched has consequences that he refuses to consider.
An example is the already failing health care system that he FORCED on those that don't want it.
And, let's not forget the recent scandals, such as the IRS, NSA,  Benghazi, and others.
He recently brought us to the brink of WWIII with his "knee jerk" reaction to Syria.

But the biggee is that our Presidents have always been known as the "Leader of the Free World".
This week, that title has been taken away and is now attributed to President Putin of Russia.
                (interesting that a communist takes the title from a socialist)
He (Obama) continues to support our enemies (Hezbolah, Al Quada, Iran, Iraq, among others; with taxpayer money.
His Executive Orders have hampered the economic and industrial growth of the United States.

I could list many, many things that this buffoon thug has done in his efforts to destroy our country, but that list would take several pages and I know that you bleeding heart, leftist, ill informed fools won't read it anyway.
Well, you re-elected him.............now you'll get what you deserve.

Soon, you'll have the opportunity to further his anti-America actions by voting for Clinton, who will continue pushing the demise of America.   Keep being ill informed; keep your head in the sand; keep
drinking their koolade; keep giving up your freedoms; keep supporting the non productive; keep voting away that which others have earned; keep helping make America just another European nation.   You leftists disgust me.....................
